Suk Yi & Roy joined us on Crete all the way from exotic Singapore! Booked a year out, Suk Yi, an avid blogger herself @eatlooktravelbook, knew exactly what she was looking for in her portraits. Elegance, style and refined taste were themes that we wanted to shine in the Couple’s portraits. With over a year of emails exchanged between us – we were ready to pull the trigger and release the shutter!
Although they weren’t getting married until February 2017, the couple wanted to have professional photos of their elopement in Greece telling their unique love story – and the Greek Islands of Crete and Folegandros served as the perfect backdrop!

Moving into Chania’s delightful old city, our romantic portraits took on a more dynamic ambience using color and movement to our advantage. As wedding photographers in Greece aiming to add an artistic flair to all our work the ancient cities, unique structures and diverse landscapes offer so many opportunities to play with light, color and texture.
Our portrait session with Suk Yi and Roy in the old town of Chania emphasizes the animated nature of their life together accented by the framework of some of civilizations’ oldest creations.
The last stop of our traveling photo shoot in Chania was at the beautiful harbor. Despite all the planning in the world – the weather sometimes has other ideas. That day we enjoyed strong energizing breezes from the North which only added to the fresh and dramatic feeling of the shoot.
Photographing the couple against the rippling waters of the sea that day infused the images with loads of texture. Perhaps inspired by mother nature’s spirit, the exquisite couple let their playful side show at the harbor – flirting with one another and our cameras!
We wrapped up our photo session in Chania in the early afternoon and traveled across the island to the stunning waterfront city of Rethymno – just forty minutes due east.
We began photographing at the Venetian Fortezza. High above the city grounds, the Fortezza offers not only truly spectacular views but charming classical architecture as well. Arriving in the afternoon the lighting was at its best – splashing its honey colored glow across our romantic island wedding portraits.
Rounding out our photography adventure with these love birds were a series of gorgeous beach portraits shot at sunset.
Greece is a serious destination wedding location and it’s easy to see why. As a wedding photographer duo we can say with certainty that an intimate beach portrait session is one of the most cherished parts of each wedding, honeymoon or engagement session.
Walking barefoot in the sand hand in hand with your lover – the sunset slowly unfolding around you – Greece tends to amplify the magic between a couple……bringing that quality to life in their photographs. A true dream-come-true holiday destination to all who dearly value photography, beauty of the nature and finer things in modern life.
