Elegant and bold were themes in Jenny & Will’s sunset portraits in Santorini. Their intimate elopement session was characterized by a contemporary chic vibe which contrasted flawlessly with the hyper textured and ancient look of the Greek Islands backdrop of our images. Our aim was to extend the trend to their caldera cliff portraits as well.
Santorini is famous for its sunsets and as a romantic island destination and it does not disappoint! For this elopement shoot we explored both high vantage points – verandas and terraces – and with feet firmly on the ground at the volcanic black sand cliffs at sunset. Jenny’s bold red dress flowing behind her in this series added a heavy dose of romance and drama to the photographs. The muted light of sunset complimented the couple perfectly during their engagement session – softening the edges of the bolder sentiment earlier in the photo shoot.
