Flying in all the way from Hong Kong for a romantic symbolic wedding ceremony Jenny & Will’s wedding portraits were shot over the two day stay on location in Oia, Santorini – the newlyweds truly embodied a level of elegance, sophistication and modernism we wanted to capture in their portraits.  We could also describe them as organic and minimalist – no pretense.  As their wedding photographers we decided that the thrill of eloping to Greece and standing on top of the world in love was going to take center stage in their images.
 

 

Capitalizing on the brilliant natural light Greece is known for, we headed for scenic spots not only appropriate for the occasion (wedding day portraits) but ones that would complement the contemporary and chic edge we wanted reflected in the photography. On location at the church, sky above us sea below, we did away with the textures of the environment and chose to feature the sleek canvas of sky – perfectly offset by the crisp white church  – as touchpoints in our photographs.  The vivid light raining down during our fine art portrait session added a luminous quality to the photos bringing out the magic of the moment.  Using an extremely refined yet saturated color palette the photographs speak volumes without saying a word. After seeing their images, Jenny & Will were over the moon with the fact that not only were their precious wedding day moments recorded forever in their personal history but that the essence of who they are and the love shared between them was so perfectly captured as well.
