In anticipation of their 2017 wedding, Simrit & Amit decided to chronicle their romance and enjoy each other’s company with an engagement photo session and stay at the Mitsis Laguna Resort near Chersonissos, Crete. Relishing in its privacy, the couple moved about the hotel grounds freely unhindered by a wedding day schedule. We started the shoot on the flawlessly landscaped gardens of the luxury hotel. Tropical flora emanating a verdant green behind the fresh glowing faces of the future bride and groom. We found it only fitting that in this lush setting Simrit would step delicately barefoot through the soft grass making her way towards the shore for the sunset photo shoot.
As wedding photographers permanently based in Greece we study the light constantly. Amit & Simrit’s engagement photo shoot took place at that magical time of day on the Greek Islands where the light begins to dance and play off the water, the mountains and the sand. Muted tones are recorded and in the next frame dazzling contrasts between subject and sea are established. These variances encapsulate the evolving nature of love and a relationship. Simrit and Amit planned to share their Greek Island engagement photos at their upcoming 2017 wedding in the UK with a wedding day slideshow and use them for all the essential wedding printables, their ‘Save the Date’ cards amongst many. After receiving their images they sent us this sweet and heartfelt love note:
