With our today’s early spring wedding shoot we’re taking you to the beautiful Amari valley, island of Crete, quietly laying at the foot of Mount Ida where the god Zeus was born. It has been put together by Crete Within Weddings and is featuring a  team of hugely talented wedding suppliers and vendors from all across Greece. We meant for both the styling and the imagery to be timeless, ethereal and full of elegant Bohemian charm, simply perfect for a dreamy Greek wedding. In our work we combined the Cretan culture and traditions with the attributes of the fine art wedding concept as we believe that the artsy boho-style suits to weddings in Cretan highlands perfectly.
 

As our planner put it in her words explaining the general concept of our shoot: ‘Greece is a world-recognised destination, however, as a local wedding planner I always wanted to introduce the wild mountain areas of Crete to my brides and grooms as the best and most genuine part of Crete lays far from the busy Northern coast. The real spirit of the island lays in the mountain valleys, olive groves, family taverns and ancient chapels whose frescoes date back to the 8th-12th centuries. Still these parts of the island correspond to all trends of the modern destination wedding industry such as natural colours and textures and cosy wedding venues for small intimate wedding ceremonies’.
